Angel Wong’s Kitchen is hosted by Angel Wong, a Taiwanese American who was born in the US.

She grew up watching her Grandparents cook authentic Taiwanese food and developed a passion for the simple home-style family recipes. Although she is not a professional chef her love of food shines through in her videos.

Angel’s videos aim to show you simple recipes that are adaptable to weeknight meals. These are family style dishes after all. A good example is Braised Pork Belly made in an Instant Pot (if you don’t have one of these you can make this on the stove top).

By documenting these family recipes Angel is part of a community of online cooks safeguarding the great food traditions of so many different cultures.

As she says, “Someday when I grow too old to remember, and there’s perhaps none of my elders to ask, I want to be able to go back to these videos and cook the foods we once enjoyed together.”
