About Food Wishes with John Mitzewich
Food Wishes is all about fun to make, and easy to follow recipes.
John Mitzewich, famously known as Chef John has the ability to simplify recipes and methods so that anyone can cook them confidently. His recipes are delicious every single time. It is clear that he takes great care and works hard to produce videos that are both instructional and also funny and warm.
Chef John studied at Paul Smith’s College in New York, graduating in 1983 when he was awarded “Outstanding Chef Training Student”. For the next 20 years Chef John worked in the food industry taking on just about every role there is including caterer and teacher. He also managed to fit in 10 years of experience in graphic design/desktop publishing.
His teaching career of 5 years was at the California Culinary Academy. Here he gained a reputation as a wonderful and well-respected teacher. He then embarked on the challenge to bring his ability to inspire others to cook to a larger audience, and started Food Wishes.
In his own words, “I hope to share with you, my love and passion for food, especially American food.”
